Graphics Expands Services to Print Industry
DAYTON, Ohio (August 2005) Fleet Graphics has
announced the installation of three new systems to provide
expanded services to advertising agencies and designers, as well
as packaging and commercial printers in the Dayton, Cincinnati
and Columbus markets. "There's a void in this region for
commercial printers that need a high-quality digital thermal
proof with true half-tone dot screening and spot colors - but
this is the answer", says Scott Waggoner, President of Fleet
Graphics.
Fleet's new Fujifilm FinalProof GxT digital
contract proofer delivers press-exact digital thermal printing
proofs, featuring true half-tone dot screening up to 300lpi,
pigment CMYK color, an extended color gamut to accurately
produce most Pantone colors, including metallics and opaque
white. Produced on a crystal clear substrate, FinalProofs can be
laminated to vertually any substrate, your actual printing
stock, foils, mylars, carton boards, papers and even shrink
wrap. It's the perfect system for creating exact proof to press
match proofs for the commercial printing market, flexo proofs
that include white base and spot colors and packaging mock-ups,
comps and samples.
The addition of a new 63" Mimaki JV3
solvent-based wide format ink jet printer is filling the
tremendous demand for outdoor signage, producing waterproof, UV
resistant banners and signs good for up to three years of
continuous use outdoors. Additionally, the Mimaki JV3 system
features full template cutting, producing perfect packaging comp
materials and dynamic, eye-catching POP graphics, as well as
vinyl stickers, labels, vehicle graphics and window coverings.
Combining the capabilities of the Mimaki with Fleets existing
60" HP 5500 dye based printer, Epson 9600 Ultrachrome printer
and GBC Falcon 60" laminator mounter allow Fleet Graphics to
produce a complete selection of photorealistic color wide format
products. The vibrant colors and variety of uses has already
made the Mimaki a favorite with many customers since its recent
introduction.
To better handle their steady increase in
business, Fleet has also upgraded the software and hardware in
their powerful PDF workflow system, Screens Trueflownet. The
Trueflow system is based on the leading Adobe core postscript
engine and flawlessly accommodates all the latest enhanced
capabilities of the Adobe Creative Suite 2 and it's associated
programs. This sophisticated RIP workflow solution can impose,
trap and output to a 32"x 44" Dolev 800V film imagesetter, a
PlateRite 8000II 8-up thermal platesetter, an Epson 9600 digital
proof, a Fuji FinalProof or even a print ready PDF file.
